Energy For Opportunity's Director, Simon Willans travelled to Malawi with Light Up Malawi to help them conduct an initial training session and installation. It was the first time we had worked outside the West Africa region and it was an excellent opportunity to be participate in such an exciting programme.
The project involved the training of twenty teachers from schools in the Mzuzu area and gave them a background on basic electrical and solar electricity installation and operation. A practical installation was completed at the primary school in Limbe and will provide lighting for night classes for both students and adults from the community.
