The Kamabai CCS was set up adjacent to the town market and in addition to providing the typical charging and light rental services also gives light to the market, allowing for night trading.

A committee was set up to run the station with members including the Mamie Queen, the Youth Leader (town / chiefdom), the Pastor / Imam and representatives from the Elders, the Market Women, the School, Farmers and the Health Centre. The Committees have a Chairperson, Treasurer, Auditor, Financial Secretary and voting members.

In addition to training local community members in basic installation and maintenance of a solar system, in March 2010, EFO trained two people in administration to run the charging stations. The trainees were coached with the tools for day to day running of the charging stations, book keeping, financial accounting and banking were covered in the training.

Mohamed from EFO trained the individuals who took up these roles and EFO provides ongoing technical support.
