Kamakwie Community Resource Centre
Chernor Jalloh and James Brima Conteh (JBC) installed a 1050 Watt system into the Kamakwie Community Resource Centre in mid-August 2011. EFO was pleased to employ JBC, who recently attended the Gbendembu training course in basic solar installation and maintenance for this project.

EFO staff have supported the biggest solar system installation in Sierra Leone’s history by being part of a series of installations at six governmental buildings, at an impressive 10 kW each. The staff took their leave from EFO during the life span of this project (two months) in order to support the installations at District and Municipal Council Buildings; Kailahun, Pujehun, Bonthe Island, Matru Jong, Kabala and Kambia.

The Sierra Leone Artisanal Fisherman’s Union (SLAFU), Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and Tombo Development Association offices were provided with a state of the art system from EFO in May 2011.
