2010 Annual Report

Energy For Opportunity is excited to announce the release of its 2010 Annual Report. It details all of our work with solar power in West Africa from our first ever project in late 2009 and all of our projects completed since then until the end of 2010. We have achieved a lot in such a short space of time  and we would like to say thanks to all of those that have supported us along the way. We hope to see EFO's work grow rapidly in the next few years and make great achievements beyond our wildest imaginations.  Finally ...

EFO a winner again in the Africa Rural Connect Competition

Energy For Opportunity was recently announced as a winner in the 4th and final round of the 2010 Africa Rural Connect competition, run by the National Peace Corp Association, in the process being awarded US1,000.

This is the second time that EFO has been a winner in the Africa Rural Connect competition, also being a prize winner in the 1st round of the competition in 2009. We are now in the running to win a further US$12,000; the overall annual prize.

EFO presents its education research at African Studies conference in Melbourne

On the 3rd of December 2010, Energy For Opportunity presented its recent research on the impacts of Solar and ICT intervention on rural education in Sierra Leone at the African Studies Association of Australasia and the Pacific (AFSAAP) Conference at Victoria University in Melbourne.
